Breast Revision before and after, Frontal
This 46 year-old woman had seven breast implant operations by three different plastic surgeons before seeking our help. Her last operation was a removal of implants and complete removal of her capsule, leaving her with contracted, distorted breasts. She had barely any soft tissue coverage and she was so thin that she had no fat for fat grafting. She underwent secondary breast augmentation using an acellular dermis graft to add soft tissue coverage. Her areolas and remaining breast tissue were thickly scarred and adherent to the ribs. The pocket was carefully reopened, the scar removed and we were left with paper-thin tissues. The acellular dermis matrix was then sutured to her pectoralis muscle creating a new pocket for the implants. The implants used were Sientra, moderate plus smooth, size 385 cc. She is shown two months postop. She is soft and her implants move naturally. After being told by her last surgeon that she may have to live with her scarred breasts and no implants, she is beyond thrilled with her result. She can now lead a normal life and return to wearing bathing suits and summer outfits!
